Potter Webster – Heavy-duty automotive parts distributor selects IBS' Suite of Supply Chain Software to increase profitability
Press Release Sep 06, 2007
Strengthening its position as one of the leading solution providers in the heavy-duty automotive aftermarket industry, IBS announced today that Potter Webster Company (PWC) has signed a software and services agreement with IBS to support its growth objectives. The new system will include core handling, manufacturing, inventory control, warehouse management, financials, multi distribution center and commission handling.
"Potter Webster spent close to a year examining seven software systems," states Randy Luthe, General Manager, Potter Webster Company. "What made IBS stand out from the competition was their professionalism, product strength, detailed consulting methodologies, and reliable support organization."
"We anticipate that IBS Enterprise will help us reduce errors and gain profitability across the board through better Inventory Management and core handling. We also look forward to a completely integrated barcode system that will provide us with a paperless warehouse environment in the future. IBS Enterprise is designed for the heavy-duty industry," adds Mr. Luthe. "Their applications specifically address our market's needs."
"In looking for a new solution, we decided that the chosen vendor would have to develop a true business partnership with us and have the financial resources available to invest in future product development, thereby keeping us on the cutting edge. IBS was best-suited for these challenges going forward," says Mr. Luthe. "Simply put, Potter Webster decided to make the transition from our legacy application DST to IBS Enterprise because we needed a system that could support both the current and future demands made by our customers and suppliers."
"IBS is proud to join forces with Potter Webster," comments John Taylor, EVP, IBS North America. "They have been thriving in the Northwest for over sixty years, and we look forward to being part of that continued success. For almost two decades, IBS has been focused on delivering award-winning solutions to the automotive distribution and manufacturing industry. Our strategy is to continue that success by offering companies like PWC the foundation needed to improve customer service, achieve greater profitability, and focus on growth potential."
