IBS outranks SAP in AMR ranking for supply chain management

In a June analysis of the world market for Supply Chain Management, the US market analysts, AMR Research in Boston, rank IBS as second only to i2 Technologies. SAP are ranked in third place, after IBS.
The five largest suppliers are i2 Technologies, IBS, SAP, Manguistics and EXE. AMR Research forecasts that the world market for Supply Chain Management systems will climb from USD 3.8bn in 1999 to USD 20.3bn in 2004. This represents an average annual growth of 40%, compared to the equivalent AMR forecast for traditional ERP systems, a growth of only 5%.
The ranking is based on 1999 revenue for software and professional services within Supply Chain Management. IBS is ranked world no 1 in the sub-section Supply Chain Execution, while i2 Technologies and SAP target Supply Chain Planning.
