Growth fueled by e-business and supply chain management
Press Release Aug 02, 1999
IBS Profits Increase 63%. Growth fueled by integrated e-Business and supply chain management.
IBS (International Business Systems), a leading supply chain software developer, publicly traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, today announced pre-tax profits totaling $8.7 million for the first six months, compared to $5.1 million last year. And IBS has continued their upward growth at 8% from 42% last year.
"The increase in professional services revenue has enabled us to compensate for a temporarily slower growth rate for software sales, " said Staffan Ahlberg, IBS chief executive officer. "For the full year, we maintain our previous forecast and expect a continued positive development of both revenue and profits. For the year 2000, we foresee a generally strong demand for business systems, especially regarding integrated support of e-Business and supply chain management. We feel that we are well equipped to meet this demand," said Ahlberg.
"We are pleased to continue to show substantially increased profits and margins although the market conditions have been tough. Our business concept with integrated software, services and hardware makes us less vulnerable than our competitors who are more dependent on software sales," said Ahlberg.
