INCREASE SUPPLY OPTIONS
With IBS Multi Distribution Center software, a selling company can place an order against a central warehouse in another 'supplying company', to be shipped either via the transit stock in the selling company, or directly to the customer. A defined product assortment in one company can be distributed to either all other companies, as global products; or to defined companies in the region, as regional products.
The same company can be both a supplying company and a selling company. Each company decides, on product level, where to supply each unique item – such as from an external supplier, central warehouse or own warehouses. IBS Multi Distribution Center provides you with powerful options.
DYNAMIC PRODUCT SUPPLY
Products, which are classified as global or regional, can be supplied from alternative distribution centers or manufacturing units, even if they belong to different legal entities within the group from the actual selling company. This creates a more flexible supply situation and helps overcome problems such as local shortages or long local lead times.
You can also make direct customer deliveries from central distribution centers or factories, even if the order and invoicing are being handled locally in the sales company.
Automatic internal order handling When deliveries of global and regional products are made between different legal companies within the group, the solution automatically performs order handling, invoicing, distribution and financial transactions between the companies.
INTERNAL DELIVERIES
IBS Multi Distribution Center includes functionality that allows stock replenishment orders against a central warehouse to be delivered to a local warehouse of the 'demanding' company.
CENTRAL AND LOCAL ASSORTMENTS
IBS Multi Distribution Center makes it possible for the different sales companies to have individual assortments built up by both local and central products. Different products can be defined as global, regional or local, providing total flexibility in creating adapted assortments for each market.
EXTENSIVE LANGUAGE FUNCTIONALITY
A different system language can be defined for each company or user, making it easier to use the multi-company concept.
This means that when a user in one country communicates with the system and the database of another company and country, the user will still receive all information in his or her own language.
In order to streamline business processes, redundant functions such as maintaining corporate files and tables can be identified and removed. By using the IBS Corporate Data Maintenance (CDM) component, you are able to maintain and transfer data more efficiently.
IBS Corporate Data Maintenance is built on the concept that corporate data such as items, account files, and customer files are maintained at one company, and automatically distributed to all other companies within the group, using data interchange files.
