INTEGRATION
A/P – Asset management –
New assets entered are matched to information from Accounts Payable for easy update and reconciliation.
Asset management – G/L –
Cost centers and projects are easily linked to the account file in IBS Financials as well as other financial systems. Reflection of transactions in the General Ledger is always optional, allowing you flexibility for dealing with the complex accounting that asset management involves.
Business Information Warehouse –
IBS Assess Management has comprehensive reporting and inquiry features that can include the range of data from all of your business processes and IBS applications, characteristic of all IBS Enterprise software.
FINANCIAL FUNCTIONS
IBS Asset Management provides flexible and sophisticated accounting controls with postings on up to eight dimensions.
Acquisition and asset entry –
Automatic or manual numbering – Alphanumeric numbering of assets in combination with alpha and numeric position control.
User-defined options –
Options for default values, screen display and screen sequence.
Additional fields –
Alphanumeric and numeric information fields created by the user. User-defined handling rules.
Supplementary text –
Ability to enter supplementary information – available for service, insurance, location etc.
Technical form –
Available for registration of technical specification of complex plants and equipment.

Picture shows a table with pre-defined event, and how those dynamically, for each installation, can be configured in order to create alert with actual action to the right receiver.
DEPRECIATION AND CALCULATION
Up to nine depreciation types –
User-defined and available per asset including depreciation to plan, depreciation to tax, costing depreciation, cost of capital calculations.
Base calculations on useful life, percentage or usage pre-defined rules – Many pre-defined rules including straight-line, gradual reduction, gradual increase, sum-of-the- year digit, 20/30, one-off depreciation.
You can also create your own calculation rules with the following:
- Future depreciation – Automatic calculation with optional budgets
- Calculation rule link – Links any calculation rule to any asset as a basis for depreciation
- Proposals handling – Proposals created for simulation or control before updating
Depreciation time axis list –
Instrument for the simulation of depreciation, can be exported and worked on further in applications such as MS Excel.
DISPOSAL
Assets available after disposal –
For inquiry and printout.
Automatic calculations –
The system automatically calculates profit or loss, reverses balances and adjusts depreciations.
Proposal handing for simulation –
Proposals created for control before updating.
BUDGET
Budget comparison –
Compares budgets against actual investment.
Future depreciation –
Includes budgeted assets for future activation and calculation for future depreciations.
