With IBS Analyzer, you can extract and combine online information to view on-screen, print or transfer to a PC spreadsheet, email or present as HTML. Tailor the way in which data is presented – move columns, sort the contents or use different colored highlighting to serve as early warnings.

PROFITABILITY ANALYSIS

IBS Analyzer gives you options for analyzing the actual profit on selected products, business partners, or even within your own organizational units – applicable at any level or area of your business. Any statistics keys such as area, customer group, or salesperson can be used for analysis purposes.

Build a matrix identifying any relevant sales and cost values, then drag and drop this critical data into a calculation sheet.

Four different balances areas can be used for extraction:

Actual transaction balances – Standard IBS Enterprise balance types, such as sales and cost of sales
Calculated balances – Balance types with values calculated from IBS Enterprise trans-actions such as tied-up capital in stock, order cost etc. with user-defined pricing
Distributed balances – New user-defined balance types based on other balances, such as G/L balances redistributed by sales person
User-defined balances – Balance types containing company specific values from an external source

After the analysis has been run and the business partners and items have been ranked in accordance with user-defined ABC ratings, the results can be downloaded to specific fields in the business partner and item files.

REPORT WRITER

Report Writer is the quickest and easiest way to prepare your statistical, financial and management reports. All reports can be saved for online viewing with drill-down functionality, ranging from the actual report to the transactions behind it.

Any user can run Report Writer at any time, for immediate measurement and analysis of operations and processes throughout your operations. The application includes a comprehensive range of functions for online inquiry, with drill-down and drill-across options.

All information in your IBS Enterprise database is integrated for full access by Report Writer, and reports can be generated for an unlimited range of time. Any key in the Business Information Warehouse can be selected for use in analysis of purchasing, service, manufacturing, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and asset control.

Reports can be viewed online via a client/ server front end, and can be presented in traditional row-and-column format on in graphical format. You can select the level of information you want to see and drill down to individual transactions.

Report Writer requires minimal CPU resources with no slowdown of workstations.

Group reporting – You can select a range of companies to include in the same report. This functionality is general, even if cross-company reporting may, in some cases, not be relevant, due to different code structures in each company. Company code is one of the selection criteria when creating a report and can also be used as a criterion for columns.

Quick Report Writer – Quick Report Writer is the perfect tool for speedy reporting. You can define and execute a new report in a matter of minutes. The principle here is to recycle reports for which definitions and templates already exist. When you create a new report in Quick Report Writer, you can simply adopt a definition, or part of it, from any previous reports. Quick Report Writer is a fast solution for ad hoc reporting.

USER-DEFINED BUSINESS OBJECTS (UDBOs)

IBS Analyzer offers a number of predefined functions, but still accommodates the individual demands of your business. UDBOs offer a method of addressing these needs, enabling you to create business objects, without the need for complex programming. Access and display any information in your system, from either IBS Enteprise or any other ERP system, using OBDC. The information can also be published on the Internet.

BUSINESS PERFORMANCE DIRECTOR

This application addresses the crucial areas for top management decision support:

Calculation and follow-up of Return on Investment (ROI)
Calculation and reporting of overall Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The fundamentals measured in ROI calculation include:
Changes in sales value
Changes in procurement efficiency resulting in improved gross margin
Changes in capital utilization for inventory, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Changes in costs

The actual values are calculated and compared to the base period (i.e., before the investment was made), with ROI being calculated for each year, which in turn determines your pay-off period. Comparisons to company targets and industry standards are also at your fingertips.

Together with the actual sales cost values, you need other performance indicators that can explain these changes. The application has a pre-defined set of KPIs with formulas and data retrieval from the Business Information Warehouse. The pre-defined KPIs are based on the SCOR model, which has become the standard for supply chain performance analysis. KPIs can be easily tailored for each installation.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS (CSFs)

IBS Analyzer enables the presentation of any selected CSFs from the database. The actual value is displayed graphically on a 'speedometer', together with the lowest, highest and the recommended values, giving a split-second view of your business status.

BALANCE INQUIRY

The option to perform any kind of analysis against the 'balance information' database of IBS Enterprise allows you to combine information from both IBS Distribution and IBS Financials. The information can be shown as conventional figures or presented in graphical form. For more detailed analysis you can simply drill down to the individual transactions in the transaction files.

ALERT MANAGEMENT

IBS Alert Management is a module that can be used across IBS Enterprise for efficient exception-based management. Key features include:

Early detection of mission-critical events through real-time tracking of supply chain processes
Notifying the right person, directly at workstations or on mobile devices
Proactive and efficient response capabilities allowing users to act immediately

SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYSIS

Order flow analysis – You are able to establish where each order is, when it got there and what happened to it on the way, while also measuring its flow against set goals and targets. Order inquiry presents all available purchase/sales order information. Order progress analysis also shows aggregate information on the sales/purchase order life cycle.

Stock availability analysis –

Stock quantity balance information per warehouse
Time axis quantities per day or week
Forecast and demand volumes calculated by IBS Inventory Control

User-defined sales and purchase statistics – IBS Analyzer provides easy and flexible access to the sales and purchase statistics in IBS Distribution, including the analysis of items not bought.

BUSINESS PARTNER INQUIRY

All available customer and supplier information, ranging from addresses and open orders to payment statistics can be presented when using IBS Analyzer.

Business partner structures are displayed and visualized in a tree structure, from where you can monitor the entire group or drill down to detailed information concerning each member.

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS

A/P and A/R inquiries – A full view of the A/P and A/R databases is available, with this information accessible via customer/supplier or directly at transaction level.

A/P and A/R statistics – Balances and payment statistics per month for a business partner, a cost center, a specific division or an entire enterprise can be easily extracted and displayed.

G/L inquiry – IBS Analyzer allows total access to all information in the G/L – from high-level data such as balance level for accounts, down to the lowest transaction level. Define advanced inquiries in terms of selections and conditions and convert these to a macro that can be run at any time. In this way you can save your most frequent inquiry scenarios and easily retrieve current values from the database as often as you need them.

Purchase order matching – Inquiry programs for 'matched A/P invoices' and 'matched purchase orders' give you complete control over the status of incoming invoices.

GENERAL FEATURES

Multimedia – IBS Analyzer contains general multimedia functions, allowing you to connect an unlimited number of multimedia objects (such as pictures or movie- and sound-clips) to any business object in the system. For example, a blueprint or photograph of a product can be connected to a product inquiry or even the image of an invoice when accessing the A/P inquiry.

Graphics – IBS business graphics has integrated graphs and charts for faster, easier interpretation of your figures. Graphic facilities in IBS Analyzer allow you to define the type of graph required, offering a wide range of choices.

Easy data transfer – Wherever you are in IBS Analyzer, and regardless of what inquiry you have made, you're always able to export your content in numerous ways:

With a simple mouse-click, transfer parts or all of a report to a spread sheet for continued analysis and refinement
The content of the report can be emailed The system can automatically create an HTML document
Transfer your report to a palm device or similar handheld computer

Transaction inquiries – In addition to ordinary transaction inquiries, you can use the IBS Enterprise advanced selection option as a data browser, providing easy access to all IBS Enterprise transactional data. Drag and drop selections let you view data in ascending or descending order, based on a wide array of conditions. To further simplify the processing of information, your selection criteria can be saved for re-use at a later date simply by clicking an icon.

Drill down and drill across – Drill-down and drill-across facilities, based on balances, are extremely flexible. The options include transactions in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, sales order and sales order lines, purchase order and purchase order lines, sales quotation and sales quotation lines, invoice and invoice lines.
